What is it?

What is Pack-Age?

Pack-Age is an intensive 15 ECTS packaging design course uniting design, business and engineering thinking to sustainability and project-based learning. Students work in interdisciplinary teams with real projects from the industry. Creative problem-solving is a key concept. The idea is to use student’s background and prior knowledge as a resource for creative group work. The project work is supported by a wide range of theme lectures.

By collaborating with different schools we are able to offer a more complete understanding and more innovative packaging design approach including various perspectives to creativity, branding, prototyping and production, retail and service strategy, needs of different stakeholders, consumer expectations and user experience.

Teachers from Aalto ARTS, Aalto BIZ, Aalto CHEM, Lahti University of Applied Sciences and Helsinki University partner up to provide insightful theme lectures and workshops to our students. We also invite various international specialists, designers and researchers from the industry to provide topical lectures.
